Analysis
Telangana's budget strikes a balance between welfare expansion and infrastructure investment. The free breakfast scheme mirrors successful models from Tamil Nadu and could significantly improve school attendance rates. The state's per capita income at Rs 4,18,931 — nearly double the national average — underscores Telangana's economic strength.
The Rs 21,285 crore energy allocation and battery storage investments position the state for future demand growth and renewable energy integration, critical as Telangana just recorded its highest-ever power consumption on March 13. With GSDP growth outpacing the national rate, Telangana continues to establish itself as one of India's economic powerhouses.
